PDF to PNG for clear page previews

By PDFEditor.ae · Published

When PNG is the right choice

PNG is lossless, so text, tables and diagrams keep sharp edges without the blur JPG can add around lettering. Use it for page previews in documentation, slides or a website. For photo-heavy pages, JPG gives much smaller files.

Steps

  1. Open PDF to PNG and upload the PDF.
  2. Click Convert to PNG.
  3. Download the pages you need.

What resolution to expect

Each page is rendered at twice its standard size, about 144 DPI. An A4 page comes out at roughly 1190 × 1684 pixels — enough for a clear on-screen preview, but not a substitute for the PDF when printing.

Before sharing

  • Check small text at 100% zoom.
  • Crop to the relevant part of the page if only one section matters.
  • Make sure the page contains nothing private.
