How to export PDF pages as JPG images

When an image is better than a PDF

Some chat apps, social posts and online forms accept images but not PDFs, or show a page preview only for images. Exporting the page as a JPG gives a picture of exactly what the page looks like.

Steps

  1. If you only need some pages, extract them first with Extract Pages.
  2. Open PDF to JPG and upload the PDF.
  3. Click Convert to JPG and download the page images you need.

Quality and readability

Pages are rendered in your browser at twice their standard size (about 144 DPI) and saved as high-quality JPG. That is clear on screens, but fine print can soften. Zoom into small text in the images before sharing. For text and line drawings, PDF to PNG keeps edges crisper.

Keep the PDF

An image of a page loses searchable text and links. Keep the original PDF for records and send the images only where a picture is required.
