How to turn JPG photos into a PDF

By PDFEditor.ae · Published

Prepare the photos first

  • Photograph in good, even light, with the page flat and filling the frame.
  • Crop away the table or background and straighten the page in your phone's photo editor.
  • Check each photo is readable at full size before converting.
  • iPhones may save HEIC photos; to get JPG, choose Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible, or export the photos as JPEG.

Convert

  1. Open JPG to PDF.
  2. Upload the photos in the order you want the pages (up to 40 images at once, 100 MB each).
  3. Click Convert to PDF and download.

What conversion does not do

Each photo becomes a page the size of the image, with the image unchanged. Converting does not make the text searchable or editable, and it does not shrink large photos. If the PDF is too big, resize the photos and convert again.

Example: a receipt bundle

Arrange receipt photos by date before uploading, and remove accidental duplicates. A clear first receipt does not mean the rest are readable: check the smallest amount on every page. Retake any blurred photo before converting — conversion cannot restore detail the photo never captured.

Check the PDF

  • Pages are in the right order.
  • No page is sideways — fix any with Rotate PDF.
  • Every page is sharp enough to read at 100%.
