Limits and what to expect
- Compression is lossless: images are not downsampled. PDFs that are mostly scanned images or photos may shrink very little.

- Uploads are sent over HTTPS. Files on the free plan are deleted after 24 hours.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my file barely shrink?
This tool does not reduce image quality, so files made mostly of scans or photos have little to optimise. Files with lots of text and structure usually gain more.
Will it lower the quality?
No. The page content is not re-encoded.
