How to merge PDFs for a UAE visa application
By PDFEditor.ae · Published
Check how documents should be submitted
You have several document copies and a recipient asking for one attachment. Merging makes them easier to handle — but only when one combined file is what was asked for. If the application has separate fields for separate documents, use those fields.
Choose what belongs in the bundle
List the documents explicitly requested for the combined attachment. Check each one for the right applicant, complete pages and readable content, and take unrelated items out rather than relying on the recipient to ignore them.
Do not merge official digital originals that must be submitted unchanged. This workflow is for ordinary copies the recipient allows you to combine.
Decide the order before merging
Follow the recipient's order if they give one. Otherwise keep each document's pages together in an order that is easy to follow — the back of a certificate should sit next to its front.
For your own check, jot down an inventory such as "document A, pages 1–2; document B, page 3". Keep it for yourself; do not add it as a cover page unless asked.
Combine the PDFs
- Open Merge PDF and add your copies in the planned order — files are combined in the order you add them.
- If some sources are photos, convert them to PDF first with JPG to PDF.
- Merge and download.
- Open the result and compare it with your inventory: count pages, and look for duplicates, blank pages or another person's document.
Check the combined size
A merged file can exceed the form's limit even when every source file fits on its own. Check the total before uploading.
If separate files are accepted, submitting them separately may be better. If one attachment is required, try compressing the ordinary copy, or ask about an alternative when a complete, readable bundle cannot fit.
Should I merge every document in my application?
Only if the instructions ask for that. Separate attachment fields usually call for separate files that match their labels.
