GDRFA PDF upload requirements for Dubai visa documents

Start from the form, not from a generic rule
Preparing Dubai visa documents is more than collecting scans — the files also need to match the form receiving them. This guide is a practical preparation workflow. It does not set a universal GDRFA file-size limit or document list. Find your service on the official GDRFA website and follow its current instructions.

List what the application asks for
Write a short list of the attachments requested. For each one, note the document name, accepted format and size limit shown. If an authorised service provider is handling your application, ask them for the file requirements in writing before sending a large bundle.
Do not swap a requested document for a different one just because both carry the applicant's name. A valid file format does not make the document itself suitable.
Make the PDF easy to review
A reviewer should be able to read the document without turning the screen or hunting through unrelated pages. Use upright pages in a sensible order, keep every edge and detail visible, and include reverse pages when requested.
If an ordinary scan opens sideways, Rotate PDF fixes it. Download and reopen the result before submitting. Leave official digital originals unchanged.
Merge only when the field allows it
If a field asks for one complete multi-page document, combining its pages helps. If it asks for different documents separately, keep them as separate files. The two sides of one supporting document may belong together; a passport and an unrelated certificate should not be merged just because they are going to the same place.
Check size and readability together
Compare the final saved file with the limit shown. If it is too large, try lossless compression on the ordinary copy; photo-heavy scans may need to be rescanned more efficiently. Read the result at normal size and zoom in on small text before uploading.
Shrinking a poor scan again and again rarely helps. Starting over with better light and a flatter page usually gives a more useful file.
Does a successful upload mean the visa is approved?
No. An upload confirmation only covers the file transfer. Follow the application's review process and official status updates.
