An English and Arabic PDF page organisation guide

Page operations do not touch the text
Merge, split, extract, delete, reorder and rotate copy whole pages as they are. They do not re-type or re-flow the text, so Arabic, English and mixed-language pages come out exactly as they went in, including right-to-left layout.
Where Arabic needs care
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint to PDF on this site are text-based and currently leave Arabic text out. For Arabic documents, use Save as PDF in the original program.
- Watermark text and annotation comments support Latin characters only.
- Text you type in the editor in Arabic is saved as an image of the text: it looks right but is not selectable.
- Text extraction (PDF to Word) is not designed for right-to-left text; check any Arabic output carefully.
- There is no OCR for scanned Arabic documents.
Bilingual packs
Decide whether readers expect Arabic first or English first, and keep each translation next to its original. For a file read from the right, check with the recipient which order they prefer.
Check the result
- Arabic pages display correctly in the merged file.
- Page order matches the reading direction you chose.
- Page numbers added afterwards do not overlap Arabic footers.
