How to combine portrait and landscape PDF pages

What happens when you merge

Merge PDF keeps each page exactly as it was, including its size and orientation. A landscape table stays landscape. Problems appear only when a page was already stored sideways in its original file.

Steps

  1. Merge the files in reading order.
  2. Scroll through the merged PDF and note any page that appears sideways or upside down.
  3. Open Rotate PDF, choose the angle and enter just those page positions.
  4. Download and check again.

Fix orientation once

Rotate the pages in the merged file rather than in each original, so you only check positions once. Remember that rotation adds to the current orientation.
