How to convert Word to PDF and check the result

Two ways to make a PDF from Word

If you have Word, File → Save As → PDF (or Export) produces a PDF that looks exactly like your document, with its fonts, images and tables. That is the best choice when appearance matters.

Our Word to PDF tool is for when you do not have Word to hand. It takes the text of a DOCX and produces a clean, simply formatted PDF. Images, tables and original styling are not carried over.

Language support

The tool currently supports Latin-script text. Arabic and other non-Latin text is left out of the PDF, so for Arabic documents use Word's own Save as PDF.

Steps

  1. Open Word to PDF and upload the DOCX.
  2. Click Convert to PDF.
  3. Download the PDF.

What to check in the PDF

  • Every section of text is present — compare the last paragraph with your original.
  • Names, figures and dates are correct.
  • Nothing you need was an image or table that did not carry over.
  • The page count is reasonable for the content.
