How to convert slides to PDF for sharing

By PDFEditor.ae · Published

Why share slides as PDF

A PDF opens on any device without PowerPoint, and the recipient cannot accidentally edit it. It also avoids missing-font problems on other computers.

Keeping the slide design

To keep layouts, images and fonts, export from PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides (File → Export or Download → PDF). Our PPTX to PDF tool is text-based: it extracts the slide text into a simple PDF without the design. It is useful for a quick, readable handout of the words on each slide.

Checks before sending

  • The slide count matches the presentation.
  • Speaker notes are included only if you meant to include them.
  • Animations are flattened — check that slides relying on builds still make sense.
  • If the file is large because of photos, resize images in the presentation and export again; lossless compression will not reduce photos.
